FLOWERS AND MORE FLOWERS.....

The storm clouds are moving in and I need to get out and cut the grass before it rains....I don't think it has even been a week since it's last cutting! Thank heavens we have a postage size yard, but it still takes me about half an hour...lol!

I went out to check my new rose...Baby Blue Rose..Above..and decided to take a few pictures...Spring posies do not last that long and you better enjoy them and soak in their beauty while the moment lasts.....I thought I would share some of natures finest....anything to keep away from that lawn mower...hahaha!

The lovely lilacs do not have the thick clumps of flowers they usually have, but they are as fragrant and pretty as always....Lilac is one of my favorite colors and these are beautiful! I wish they could bloom all summer!!

I have been so busy working getting things on the shelves of our new website plus attending to all the little and sometimes big things that have to be done around the house...that I have neglected my posting...by evening exhaustion has set in... so, I want to treat you to a little preview of what is to come....to show you a couple pieces of vintage linens that are so exquisite and listed under Vintage Finds or New Items.... To go to the Ruffled Rose, just click on the button to the right....

The all white pillow slips with the Southen Belles are delightful beyond words and finding all white ones is very rare and...... the tatted lace on the other set is just gorgeous! They are soft and white and just plain delicious....

Well, once again, the day has flown by...we had a wonderful thunder shower and now a hungry hubby must have his dinner...

Enjoy your Spring evening and thank you for visiting!

~Strawberries On Sunday~

These beautiful California strawberries are just too luscious not to be photographed and shared.....and I thought I would share the sweet little colender with pale pink roses, too.

We get California strawberries year 'round here, but in the Spring they are always the juiciest and sweetest!

I have had this colender for close to twenty years.....it is hard to believe that many years have passed since I found it in Von's in Pacific Beach, Ca. I can not think of a time when roses have not been loved by all....Victorian times, present times and for always....aren't we lucky we can find them on so many things?

With Belgian Waffles, eggs and bacon with coffee and juice these suculent berries added the perfect touch to Sunday Breakfast!

Enjoy Today!

My First PINK SATURDAY In Over Four Months

When we travel this route to Texas and points beyond...I always look forward to seeing this huge cross alongside the road. It soothes, reassures and humbles.....My hope is that it will always be there! There are more than one of these giant crosses, along the highways in middle America, and this one is in The Great State Of Texas.

Hello everyone and WELCOME....Just a reminder to be sure and visit Beverly of How Sweet The Sound... to visit wonderful ladies and their blogs that love pink just like you and me!...Thank You, Beverly....it is nice to be back!

I can't begin to tell you how excited I was when I found this old flue cover. I bought it for my website, www.theruffledrose.com but I am not sure I am going to part with it for a while. lol! I can see this is going to be a problem with me!!

Below is the sign at the antique store, along the highway in Oklahoma, where I found the cover. There were so many antique stores in that area that if we were able to visit each and every one of them...we would still not be home!

All the shopping carts in this antique mall in Oklahoma were PINK! That just made the shopping all the more fun.

This has been a busy week. I can't believe it is Friday already! What has happened that the days just seem to fly by now? Is it just me?

Today was the first real warm day since we have been back. I had to change my long sleeved shirt for a short sleeved one and I was delighted to be able to open windows and doors. Oh!! I just LOVE SPRING! We got out, and with the help of a friend, trimmed the front bushes.....the lilacs on the West side are opening up and I just go and bury my nose in them. How heavenly is their scent! Tonight we have rain with maybe some thunder moving our way....what can be better?

I have been loading items on our website...www.theruffledrose.com and I hope you will pop over and take a peek. Click on In The Armoire and then The Cottage Bath to see the towels I managed to list. I still can not get a thumbnail picture to come up on the home page, but I will get it figured out! I will be putting new things in everyday....please sign the guest book and sign up for future mailings as new things are listed and so you will know when our Grand Opening will be.

Thank you, thank you, for coming by and saying "Hi".....It is with happy anticipation I read your comments!
