I Can't Resist A Pretty Pot Holder......

WELCOME TO PINK SATURDAY!!!

I don't know when this began, but I can not walk past a pretty, pastel potholder without buying it. Of course, it has to be in perfect condition. I prefer the white ones with minty green and palest of pinks and I keep them all arranged in a bowl in the kitchen.
The funny thing about all of this, is I am not attracted to cooking and the sooner out of the kitchen the better for me, but I love kitchen "things". I have a couple of my Grandmothers potholders from long, long, ago in blue and white and they are displayed on shelves above the stove.
Isn't it interesting the things we wind up with in a little collection!
Have a wonderful Pink Saturday and I am so happy you stopped by!
Sweet Blessings,
Jil

Oh My.. I love your pretty collection of pastel potholders. I collect the crocheted potholders too and have quite a stash of them. I'm pretty picky about mine as well. Only buy myself the ones in really good condition that aren't stained. Check out my Oct 25th post if you want to see some of my collection and how I display my favorites... Kim

Hello Jil

Me too....hate cooking but am always on a buying kick for anything for the kitchen.

In the past month especially I cant tell you how many pots, dishes, clocks, lights and on and on that I have purchased. Remodling...no...just crazy.

I guess it gives the impression that I a great cook....lol

I can't resist those pretties, either. Just someone about them that take you back to a time long ago when making things with your hands was a precious talent.

Hello Jil
Your collection of pot holders is so sweet. Imagine they were made for a purpose, they had a function, to handle HOT pots. How can something so pretty have had such a task. They seem more fitting to be used as ART. Thank goodness for all the vintage useful treasures.

What pretty pink potholders..and what sweet memories they bring back. My mother and grandmother used to crochet potholders such as these. How I wish some had been kept. A belated happy Pink Saturday..hope you have a lovely week.

Oh, my goodness. I love pot holders, especially the pink and green ones. I love that one with the rose in the center.

Lately, I've found myself buying old pink and rose decorated salt and pepper shakers too.

Love your blog. You do beautiful work!
