**Pink Saturday**

Hi Everyone!

Oh my goodness....I went to bed and woke up and realized I HAD NOT DONE PINK SATURDAY! So, here I am at 1:21am with blurry eyes and I hope it will make sense because I all I want to do is go back to bed!!

This is the first night the window has been open for soft warm breezes. You don't know how I have been waiting for this. Windows and doors open, the grass green, the buds getting bigger everyday on the trees and more and more flowers deciding it is safe to come up now. Ahhhhh! Spring!

The little picture, above, is of me and three of my precious sons in Washington, DC. The boys are all grown up now with families and careers. How we loved to visit all there is to see and do in that beautiful city! We lived in Manassas, Va. about an hour away and hubby worked in DC.

The flowers at the base of the china frame has real pink dried roses tucked among the fabric ones. I was so happy when the pink stayed pink!
And, that pretty frame I purchased in Disneyland upteen years ago. Why can't we find pretty hand painted frames like this anymore???

Below is a sweet pin cushion that I made this week and is available on eBay for purchasing! Pink Roses, of course! Pin Cushions seem to be all the rage right now for collecting. Even if you don't sew they are pretty accents..........

Don't forget to visit Beverly > for a world of beautiful pink blogs to visit. She is our gracious host for these fun Pink Saturdays at How Sweet The Sound.

Have a happy weekend and a great week!
Jil

I love your pin cushion. It is very clever and beautiful. I notice since you have done this in the past that an ebayer is using your idea. I keep telling you you do beautiful work - now maybe you will believe me. They say copying is the greatest form of flattery.

Maybe I should make myself more clear. I mean the added "baby" pin cushion that you add to your "beauties". Many others do pretty pin cushions, but haven't added the little extra one

Jil, whenever I read about where you have lived, it's surprising to see how many times our paths have crossed. We too lived in VA, but we were in Burke. I remember all the history, way more than we could ever see, great craft fairs and just a beautiful enviornment to be in. Too much traffic for my taste now tho, Happy Pink Saturday and hope you got your rest, Char

Happy Pink Saturday to you! I just learned about the "scheduling" ability of blogs. Before I figured that out, I did the same thing. Oh no, I forgot to blog! Hope you slept well.

Here's my secret. When you create a new post, in the bottom left hand corner is a button that says "Post Options." Click that and you can change the time. I have a gardening blog, and I've already created posts for May 1, June 1, July 1... you get the picture. Since I live in California, I set them to go on at 1:00 A.M., so if there are any East Coast followers, they can check my posts while I sleep. I hope that helps.

Your pin cushions are lovely. The pink ribbon roses are gorgeous, my cousin sews them onto door-hanger hearts and they look nice - maybe you could consider that for your shop. Have a wonderful weekend.

Your frame is beautiful, and you lucked out the color stayed in your roses, mine always fade out or turn brown. Maybe I'm not doing something right! I love the oin cushion but, alas, I do not sew, not since 7th grade living skills. I wish I did though. Have a super weekend and I hope you have loveleigh weather!

Hi Jil! Just popping in before we leave for Austin.

You are so right about the pincushions being so collectable right now. I have a couple that I found at a craft bazaar and I just adore them.
I loved your post because of the way you described being able to open a window to let the spring air in. Even if you hadn't added pics it would have stood perfectly on it's own like that.
