Hello Pink Saturday

Hello sweet pink loving peeps! It is Pink Saturday already and you can find lots and lots of delicious pink blogs by visiting our beloved hostess Beverly Be sure and leave her a comment....she likes to know you have visited.

The mosaic, above, is a bit of what is finally going on in our yard....the Lily Of The Valley have their gorgeous full green leaves with stems of tiny closed white bells soon to open.....the lilacs have small tight clusters of purple and I think that within two weeks we will have their beauty and their heavenly scent....now that it looks like warm weather is here to stay for a bit, I will be off getting hanging baskets and lots and lots of bedding plants and enjoy sitting on the porch with a glass of sweet tea and a good book!

And here is what is happening on one corner of our front porch roof.....I hope I will be able to capture pictures of the little ones....in case you did not know, Robins can be vicious when they have young....I know by experience! We had one nest in a hanging basket and in order to water the flowers, a visiting granddaughter would madly wave the broom around to keep mama away.....Oh, the scolding that went on from the nearby tree and some dive bombing, anyway! I was glad to see that bunch fly away as there was no sitting on the porch during the little ones growing up!

And, Please remember, with prayers, the suffering of many with the horrific floods and the tornados and fires to say nothing of those out of work.....our country is in such a sad place right now!
Smiles and Hugs,
Jil

Your flowers are lovely, Jil! I still don't have a thing blooming in my garden yet. It's still so very cold! Brrr! How wonderful to have a robins nest to watch! Happy Pink Saturday, my friend!

Happy Pink Saturday, Jil. I am so glad Blogger is working once again.

Your blooms are wonderful. I've always wanted to plant Lily Of The Valley. Their fragrance is captivating.

Thank you for the reminder of the much needed prayers.

Hey Jil ~ my lilacs finally just bloomed (3 weeks late) so I'm happy to hear that yours are close. They are so lovely. We have a birdy nest too but not sure what kind of bird it is. We are having fun watching them from our back deck....I love nature :O)

Happy Pink Saturday to you!!

Once I found a robin nest in my flower stand of a begonia. I wondered what would happen so I picked up the stand, & traded it with the stand next to it. Then I sat & waited ... she flew in! She was startled, plainly seen. Looked around, then flew off. About 5 or 10 miutes later in she flies again, but directly to wehre I had moved the next. I about flipped!

Love your share ... birds are so interesting & YES fiesty.

Have a beautiful PINK weekend ~

Hi Jil!

We've just returned home from a little get-away to your state. Holland for Tulip Time...and a wonderful two nights at a B&B near South Haven. Seems you Michiganders finally have some warm (dare I say HOT) weather! I'm going to put together a post about our trip this weekend.

We have a little feathered guest, as well...underneath our patio umbrella. Right now, she's frightened every time someone walks past...hopefully she'll get used to us.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, bird nests are such fun to watch! We don't have robins here - but we have doves - and they once built a nest on my front patio in a hanging basket. Your blog is SO pretty! Hugs, Patti

Love the photo of the Momma Robin. I am surprised you could get any where near her to even get a photo. I love seeing her sit there so proud. Just priceless sweetie.

I do miss the Lily of the Valley and lilacs that grow in the northeast in "spring". We have had flowers for a couple of months, but I am still wearing that winter jacket from Vermont for the chill that lingers.

Beautiful flowers. Happy Pink Saturday!
