Hello Ladies....I found this sitting in a yard for $5.00. SOLD! I just had to show you!
I could not wait to get it to the car and home as I could see it all white and with a pretty shade....it did not have this shade on it, it had this one....
which I love....It is silk, but sadly was very dirty and had a rip.....I love the simple style of it. The elegant little way they trimmed the edges.

I have never tried making a lamp shade, ( That will be a future project ) so I brought out one I had stored....it is a pretty taupe with faded cream and pink roses....
And here it is all white and Cottage perfect....
I am, with a friend, opening up a booth next week, at a new antique and craft mall in downtown Port Huron....this lamp will not be for sale, but will add a soft light to our booth....When I find another lamp to redo, this one is coming home to mama!!!
Oh and the bonus....the lamp worked perfectly. That was the first thing hubby checked and I never even thought of! So good that I have this man!
Have a wonderful and happy day! Hope you are creating away!

Wow Jil!! What a fabulous lamp you found ~ love it all painted up white, and that shade you now have on it is perfect!!
Cute lamp! I like the shade you have on it but really, really like the first one. It looks like it belongs to the base. I'm sure you can recover it with the talent and skills you have.
Love the redo on the lamp and it's going to look lovely in your booth.
Everyone is going to want it so be prepared to keep saying, "it's not for sale!"

Hi Jil. Thank you for the invitation on Etsy Cottage Style. Nice to see your blog. I love the transformation of your hunted piece of furniture. I look for a similar piece myself.
Warm wishes.

hreeantI'm so glad you stopped by my blog...now I can follow you! I love lamps and this one is a gem for sure! What a pretty one she is and love it painted white of course. The lampshade you added is perfect. I make and slipcover lampshades so never throw away the frame. They can always be recovered....I am so enjoying your blog and hope to get back soon. Thanks for sharing and I too have sad days when my girls return to school...the house is so silent and dead when they aren't here with me. I look forward to having grandchildren, but am not rushing it at all, lol!
