I can't get over how simply beautiful the weather has been for the past ten days or so...soft breezes and perfect 70's temperatures. Today they are promising showers and we have big fluffy wet looking clouds gathering. A little thunder would be welcome, too, if you are listening, Mother Nature!

We live very close to Lake Huron, about a five minute walk down to Light House beach, and you can hear the engines of the pleasure boats taking advantage of the weather and the last day before school starts and it is back to work......

I am not the only one enjoying it, the purple morning glories are blooming away and growing more every day....the petunias have turned full and bushy and the roses have more buds. I will soon be planting bulbs and covering the soil with Cayenne Pepper to discourage those naughty squirrels!! I did not have the full garden of tulips and other spring flowers because of their digging to try to remember where they might have hidden a walnut!!

More Pretty Pink Roses To Come

It is hard to believe that in a month or so we will most likely be wearing warmer jackets and for me wearing shoes! I am the barefoot girl. First thing in the house and off come the shoes.......

WHERE DID THE WEEK GO?

Really, where did this week go? It doesn't seem like I have been working hard at the house, yard or making things this week..... I didn't do anything special, but some how another week is almost over. A week that DH and I had our 40th anniversary and were so busy trying to figure why our Grandfather Clock does not want to run....we both forgot until we were eating dinner! lol!

Beverly asked us to feature a blog this week and I am featuring That Shabby Pink Girl

Be sure and visit her blog and be dazzled by all her pinkness as well as the gorgeous creations she makes. Not only is she one of the nicest people I have met, but she is soooooo talented!!! I don't think there is anything she doesn't make and make beautifully!
**I apologize for not being able to make the link work, but you can find That Shabby Pink Girl to the right in my list of fabulous blogs to visit...just click on her name and you will go right to her.**

I encourage you all to put out your Glorious American Flags, this week, if you don't always have yours waving proudly, as the anniversary of 911 is Thursday. We all need to remember.....and give thanks, too, for our brave and dedicated troops serving us!

PRETTY PINK SATURDAY

Hello and Welcome.......I am so happy you stopped by this PINK SATURDAY and please go to BEVERLY AT HOW SWEET THE SOUND for this Saturday's list of "pinkies" to visit. Don't we have fun?

I have been gone for the past month having a blissful time with grandchildren and a daughter. I didn't make it on last Saturday as we switched servers and OH MY! what a bloomin' mess. Hours on the phone trying to get things to work and a cranky router to deal with, too. My advice.....no matter how good the deal...DON'T CHANGE! I think it is starting to work, knock wood, .......

Then, one afternoon, a week ago, I finished up what I was doing on the computer and wondered what it took to change my ebay name. As if enough wasn't going on!! I went and looked, tried one of several names I wanted to see the availability of, hit SAVE, thinking this will save it for me if, at a later date I want to do this, and to my shock and dismay, I HAD A NEW EBAY ID!!!! agatheringofroses....... eBay was no help, I called them immediately, but they have a 30 day rule, and tears did not sway this callous man, so the 20th of September I will change it back to Adrianna's Boutique.

Why, you are asking did I want to change? I chose this name in the first place, as it is my given name and I never use it except for legal documents. No one, other than my family is able to pronounce it correctly with a soft A and the spelling, I believe, may throw people, too. Being an old family name, and liking it, I thought this the perfect place to get to use it. But in retrospect, I know it may be hard to remember and maybe, for many to spell, so I thought a change might be easier for people to remember, but NOT DURING THE CHRISTMAS BUYING SEASON!!!

And, while I love this new name, it is a bit too close to another's and confusing the customer was not in my game plan, either!! :-)

Anyway, three more weeks to go and this blunder will go away!

Here is a name I have been toying with ..Adrianna's Say It With Roses...any opinions or should I stick to Adrianna's Boutique?? It is like rearranging furniture....you just get that itch for a change...

This pretty lass, in a bright pink top, is Jacque and one of my 11 darling granddaughters. She lives in the great state of Texas and starts her sophmore year in college this Fall......she is extremely independent and has many talents, including charming her Grandma! Love you, Jacque xo

This romantic Christmas Stocking has an adorable image by Frances Brudage....and is for sale at my auctions on EBAY As well as the lovely hanger cover, below.

These pretty covers are not only practical, but they make a pretty romantic accent as well.

Well, that is all for this Pink Saturday....if you have any ideas about my eBay ID, I am all ears!
Hugs and Kisses,

~PINK POSIES & PINK SATURDAY~

Welcome Everyone.....I hope you are having a wonderful time browsing thru all the lovely pink blogs this PINK SATURDAY...Visit Beverly of How Sweet The Sound... to find this Saturdays pink list. Thank you Beverly!

This is the last Pink Saturday I am going to be a part of for the next three weeks. It is Daughter and Granchildren time. I don't think I am going to get too much accomplished in the creation department. I intend to just be with them and enjoy them and love them and love them.....lots of hugs and fun!!! I fix a special lunch they call "Mo's Lunch". (Their name for me) They put their lunches on TV trays and head for the upstairs and my sewing room and the TV. They think this is a great treat! Of course I will have all of their favorites in the pantry and the 'fridge!

If the weather will behave, we have not had summer yet...just lots of cool, rainy days, we will be down at the beach a lot.

And, we will have our traditional Tea Party and I am going on the hunt for some old hats they can decorate anyway they want....lots of ribbons and flowers....Oh, I can hardly wait! We will bake our favorite cookies for this special event..
Well, I could go on and on, but you all have other blogs you must get to so...

I took these pictures to inspire me. For about a year I have had painters block. Atleast, that is what I call it. I have new brushes and lots of interesting things to paint, but the roses will just not come......I am hoping these gorgeous roses will help. I have had three years of watercolor in college and I think I will use a water color technique.....I am hoping that what I have in my mind I will be able to do.
