Welcome to PINK SATURDAY! This is the day that is so much fun for me, sitting in my "jammies" with a Dr. Pepper at hand cruising thru all the pink splendor! You will have fun too if you will just go to Beverly of How Sweet The Sound... and you will see the list for today....Thank You, Beverly for hosting this event for us!
Well, I did not get much made this week or anything else, for that matter! As I had just stepped away from my glue gun with a big hot glob of glue on what I was gluing, the breeze from the ceiling fan whipped it out of my hand smack down on my left index finger. All I can tell you is that it is not a pretty sight! I have never been burned like this and I have had so many glue gun burns on my fingers I have lost count. I have even spent a couple of nights in the guest room with two bowls of ice water on the floor and me on the bed on my stomach with a hand in each bowl for some relief!!! Sound familiar???
This burn is pretty good size and d-e-e-p!! There is even a small hole close to my nail! What did I do? My hubby heard my little groans and came running...got a small bowl and put Willards Water in it with water and in went my finger. Never heard of Willards Water? It is too complex for me to explain, but I hope you will Google it and you will be amazed at it's curative powers besides making everything grow lusher and bigger and vitamins more potent. I would not take it with medicine, tho. They use this amazing water in some burn units and once I learned about it I purchased some and found to my delight and relief that my glue gun burns were healed by the next day! Our home is never without it!!!!
This burn, however, is different and I imagine in a few days from now it will be better and the pain and swelling easing....thank heavens for Advil! And, for a dear and patient husband who has helped me around the house so much this week, even in MY kitchen!
So, with one hand I am doing this posting and I have to say I am getting faster and faster!
Here is a bit of pink from me for today.....some more of my pink roses that I have in pretty little vases all over the house. I think this will be the last blooming, altho I do see more buds......How I will miss them when their blooming is over!
And the two stockings I managed to make:
SOLD
These can be found at my EBAY
And Todays:
Have a safe and happy week and if you are creating....be careful with the glue gun!!!!

L♥ve your pink goodies this week. Just when I think I have enough pink in my life I participate in Pink Saturday and see even more sweet things I’d enjoy having in my home or flowers for my gardens or just to look at☺ What could be better than the color pink dancing in your head all morning?
I can relate. Several years' ago I grabbed my soldering iron by the wrong end. Don't ask me how I did it - but I did!
Thanks so much for sharing. Hoping your weekend is filled with sunshine and the comfort of those you love and who love you.
I'm sorry your burn has slowed you down, but awfully glad to hear you're on the mend. Your guy sounds like a keeper:-) I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Those are beautiful! You need to go get a low-melt glue gun immediately! They don't burn nearly as much as a regular one. I love mine. Works just as well as the real hot ones. I also have a bowl or glass of water sitting around when working with hot glue to put a burned hand in immediately. Lavender oil works wondrously for healing burns also, sugar. I'll look up about that water though.
xoxo,
Connie
Happy Pink Saturday!
Love these stockings!

Oh Jil, Happy Pink Saturday honey, and you have to be more careful with that darn glue gun. Get one of those low temp guns. At least it isn't quite so bad to get burned by. Honey I love the rose, and those stockings are just so pink, and victorian and lovely. Thanks for sharing. What a wonderful post. Please stop by and let me share my pink post. It will make you smile and take you somewhere fun for a little while. Country hugs honey and kisses for the burnt finger, Sherry

Hi Jil. I am so glad your finger is getting a little better. It is a son-of-a-gun when we are crafters and get those glue gun burns. I love your two new stockings. You do beautiful creations - unlike anyone else's. Blessings.......Pauline

Oh Jil, you poor baby, I too have had my share of burns and I don't think there is anything worse. The throbbing is just over the top. I hope by now that at least that part of the healing process is behind you. We should never glue without a bowl of cold water close by......I am sorry and hope you are better now. Your stockings are gorgeous as always, Happy Pink Saturday, Char

Hi Jil, I love your pink roses and want you to know that I am thinking about you. Burns aren't any fun that is for sure. My burn was from hot grease while cooking. I love your stockings that you made. Your Missouri friend Shirley
Thank you for stopping by my blog today...you make beautiful stockings!!
I hope your burn heals quickly.
When I was in high achool, I was sitting crosslegged on the floor getting ready to macrame a plant hanger...but first I needed to melt then ends. As I melted the last strand, it dripped off melted poly-rope and burnt a nickel-sized circle on my calf right below the knee fold! I can still feel that!
Oh my -- I hurt for you.
Unfortunately I can relate as I have one very large...well large to me, bout the size of an eraser on my back of my hand from a glue gun.
I dont think much hurts more than a burn of any kind. Once i was nailed while making candy and that "left a mark" too. :(
Get better soon darlin.
If you ever get a moment would love you to stop by some time.
TTFN~~Claudia ♥ ♥
