Hello Pink Saturday

It can't be Friday already.....It seems like it was just Monday. Oh I do wish life would slow down for a bit....
I really believe our winter is ending as our tulips are poking through the soil and a lilac bush has big green swollen buds....such a welcome sight! And we saw our first Robin....Oh, that was a happy moment! And to find more happiness, be sure and visit Beverly and all the wonderful blogs loving pink!

As I say goodbye to winter I have to say this is a winter I snuggled down and really enjoyed! I told you in an earlier post, how I was having a love affair with my warm and cozy bed...looking forward to getting comfy and cozy under the quilts and my special "blankie" and my hotwater bottle....such a comfort! I never have had a winter like this and I am grateful for it. It is hard to explain, but I needed just what it gave me...comfort, peace and some much needed healing of the soul! I hate saying goodbye to the long nights, but I welcome the longer evenings when we can be out enjoying the yard and the birds....each season offers such delights.

Do you like Southern Belles as I do? Pretty ones that are in great condition are getting harder and harder to find. Here are two I just listed on the Website

Click on the pictures and you can see them up closer....aren't they sweet?

Now I am off to say "Hi" to you!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Jil

These embroiderys remind me of when I was little and my grandmere taught me to embroider on flour sack kitchen towels. I still have those towels & have created this same style on some of our pillowcases. Happy PS!

Hi Jil! I adore vintage linens and your Southern belles are wonderful. The colors are so sweet and soft! I agree with you-winter does have one advantage, and that's the comfort of snuggling into a warm bed. Have a lovely weekend. Terri

Jil,
Your southern belles are lovely!!
I understand completely what you are saying about the winter. I love the long nights and you have get to enjoy the cozy lighting from lovely lamps and in my case, my holiday trees! I love the coziness of the house with all of my lace curtains on the windows. I do love snuggling up in front of the TV with a warm blanket and my jammies on my nights off!!
But I can't wait for the day when I can look out the window, admire the snow and DON'T have to drive to work in it!! LOL!!
HPS!!

Hugs,
Debbie

Just lovely, especially on the "waistline" of that chair cushion!

And this is the first time I've ever Cursored with a beating pink heart! Cool.

Hi Jil, I really liked your take on the long cold winter we had. Helps put it in perspective for me....who doesn't like long dark nights. I loved what you had to say. I love to find Southern Belle vintage pillowcases to make into little dresses. But it's not happening. Haven't seen too many old pillowcases lately. Happy Pink Saturday.

I believe my mom had the Southern Belles, which I so love, but when I closed up their home, did not find any of them. Have not seen them in my travels either. Thank you for bringing back such a special memory for me. Blessings.

Hi Jil! I adore that beautiful embroidery. There's something just so satisfying about both owning embroidery and also working it ourselves. I'm visiting from Kathy's Celebrate Spring party and enjoyed reading your post! Bess
